PRODUCTION

Layout & Pre-press

I have a wealth of experience preparing art for print. I was an early adopter of the Adobe line of products beginning with Adobe Illustrator 88 in 1988 followed by Adobe Photoshop 2.0 (not to be confused with CS2) in 1991 and then Adobe Indesign 2.0 in 2002. The Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programs continues to be my “go to” for creating my artwork. In addition to my extensive experience using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, I also taught all 3 as an associate professor at Austin Community College for 20 years, and I wrote the initial curricula for Photoshop Techniques I & II, as well as the curriculum for  Digital Painting which focused on art techniques for game designers using Photoshop and Corel Painter.

Below is a partial list of software that I’m proficient in:

Adobe InDesign

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Acrobat

Adobe Distiller

zBrush

MS Word

WordPress (w/Divi)

Apple Numbers

Conference & Tradeshow Graphics

Many of my clients are associations and organizations that hold yearly and semi-yearly conferences and expositions. I help them to establish the look and feel of those events beginning with the initial design concepts which I then apply to all of the conference graphics, from web banners and mobile app graphics, save the date postcards and multi-page event programs, to exhibit hall signs and banners, as well as individual event session signage, large format pieces such as the graphic panels for registration booths, event exhibits, and massive conference entry structures, while integrating all into a cohesive design.

Web & Social Media Graphics

Trying to determine the proper image sizes and file formats for your website, mobile apps, and social media graphics can be a daunting task. Each platform has different and multiple requirements which seem to change daily. Plus, if you have little or no experience with graphic processing the requirements can be, at best, baffling.

Let me take the stress and confusion out of the process. Just tell me where you’ll be using your images and I can rework their aspect ratios and sizes, and process them into each of the formats required based upon the latest specs available.
